Why did we start this blog?
We have met so many amazing people while traveling. Everyone we talked to was surprised when they learned how much we were traveling, but we did not have a travel site or really use social media. We only occasionally used Snapchat and LinkedIn. We are a couple in our 30’s so this is somewhat unusual, but until recently, it was just not our thing.
However, it was those people we met on our travels that really encouraged us to tell our story. Strangers everywhere saying the same thing to us over and over really got us thinking. We were hesitant at first, but we realized we do have a lot of travel knowledge and have had great travel experiences that we can share. We decided creating a blog and joining social media could be a wonderful way to share our experiences with family and friends plus anyone else who may be interested. We started working on this blog and created an Instagram account in March of 2024.
We also thought this may be a way for us to help others plan trips as well. If you want to research yourself, check out our Destinations pages. Mrs. Vork plans all of our trips, and she loves trip planning! Check out our Travel Planning Services if you want personalized help or if you have any questions.
FAQs
The question we get asked the most is how we are able to travel so much. Check out our Vork Travels page to learn how we have been able to do this and to see where we have gone on our vork trips.
Another question we get asked is why we do not have an RV to full time travel. While we have considered it many times, there are many reasons why full time RVing isn’t for us at the moment. It is still a possibility for the future.
Are you digital nomads is a popular question. We are part time digital nomads, but we aren’t full time digital nomads for two reasons. The first reason is we cannot afford to be full time digital nomads and also stay where we would be happy and comfortable. The second is we would like to own real estate. We only have one house now which is our home base, but our goal is to eventually buy multiple homes to stay in part of the year and rent out the rest of the time. We are still trying to figure out where we would like additional properties and working towards the financial ability to do this while also traveling.
The last question we get asked often is what is your favorite destination? We don’t have an overall favorite destination, but we do have favorites for different categories. Our favorite national park is Glacier. Our top ten national parks are currently (after Glacier): Yellowstone, Acadia, Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Capitol Reef, Rocky Mountain, Dry Tortuga, and Saguaro. We love the Florida panhandle beaches, and our favorite lake is Flathead Lake in Montana. Our favorite winter destinations to escape the cold are Arizona and Florida. Our favorite city to visit is Las Vegas. Some of our other favorite destinations are: Key West, Florida, Bar Harbor, Maine, Woodstock and Killington, Vermont, Estes Park and Grand Junction, Colorado, Upstate New York, and Texas Hill Country (Fredericksburg, Texas).
