Rocky Mountain National Park

It is important to get reservations for Rocky Mountain National Park, and they sell out soon after they are released. On the day we visited Bear Lake and Nymph Lake, it was extremely foggy, but it was still very beautiful! We heard the elk long before we were able to see them due to the extreme fog. Some of the time, the fog was so thick we could only see a few feet in front of us. It definitely made for an unforgettable experience.

Trail Ridge Road has tons of trails and overlooks which were breathtaking, and we did this road a couple of times. There are so many great mountain vistas in the park.

On the west side, Adam Falls was a short hike through the woods with a pretty waterfall. We spent a lot of time in the area and split our stays between Estes Park and Granby with a visit to Grand Lake which is a cute town. We preferred our time in Estes Park as it was a livelier town, but some people may prefer the west side which is less busy. The photos below are from the west side.
