Our top recommendations for things to do in Springfield are Mother’s Brewing Company and 1984. Mother’s Brewery is an amazing brewery, and 1984 is a fun arcade. While we do not spend a lot of time shopping on our trips, the Bass Pro Shop is neat and great for outdoor enthusiasts. This is the original Bass Pro and was the largest shop until January 2023. The downtown area is a walkable, fun area.
Branson and Table Rock State Park
Branson is a well-known, touristy destination. There are tons of shows, Silver Dollar City (an amusement park), and lots of other entertainment perfect for families such as go kart tracks, a Ferris wheel, etc. Our favorite thing to do in the area was visiting Table Rock State Park. The park has beautiful views and has some good hiking trails. There is also a marina that offers rentals.
