Gateway Arch National Park
The Gateway Arch National Park is unlike many of the national parks as the main attraction is a monument and is located within a city. While it does not have the grand beauty of some of the parks in the western U.S., it is still worth visiting the impressive and special monument. The ride to the top is in a small, five-person tram and only takes a few minutes. There is a fee to go to the top, and you can make your reservations online. If visiting on a clear day, the views from the top are excellent. The grounds of the park are well maintained and pretty. The Arch is much larger close-up than many realize. The museum offers a great educational experience and is well done.
